Bad Breath Cure Also Supports Healthier Teeth and Gums

Struggling with plaque or gum disease?  ProFresh customers and their dentists’ report healthier teeth and gums!

ProFresh is well-known as a highly-effective bad breath cure, but it does more than just stop chronic halitosis.  It also supports a healthier mouth!

Active chlorine dioxide is the key ingredient in ProFresh that makes this oral rinse unique.  Chlorine dioxide is a safe, but tough antibacterial.  The ProFresh System considerably decreases the amount of free floating bacteria in the mouth, and as a result, the amount of dental plaque that builds up around the teeth and gums.  Dental plaque causes tooth decay and periodontal disease.  While active chlorine dioxide is the star of this show, there is an important co-star….

Tongue cleaning is also a key component of the ProFresh System.  Studies have proven that tongue cleaning is very effective in reducing dental plaque as well as the bacteria that cause bad breath.  Removing the bacteria in the mouth by rinsing with ProFresh reduces dental plaque even further than tongue cleaning alone.

Science is important, but our customers know first-hand the effects of using ProFresh on their teeth and gums.  Here’s what they have to say:

“I use ProFresh in my water flosser. My dentist says to keep doing what I am as my teeth require very little cleaning.” – Larry A.

“After having 4 cavities when my diabetes was out of control, this was recommended by my dentist.  6 months later they said I have done a good job of keeping away plaque and no cavities.” – Denise M.

“This product has helped significantly with my periodontal gum disease.  My last four dental appoints have been great.” – Connie M.

“I’m a happy customer these days. The first time I tried ProFresh almost the same day my wife said I smelled good – no more odor.  Now that made my day. Then I went for my dental check-up after about 2 months on ProFresh and I have never got such a good report. I like the fact that I work on one problem and fix 2 … can’t beat that. Thanks – Ed

Chlorine Dioxide Mouthwash Eliminates Bad Breath

What if you could rinse away bad breath with a highly-specialized mouthwash that contained a secret ingredient that was proven to kill the bacteria that cause bad breath?   Well you can!  The secret ingredient is active chlorine dioxide.  But be careful… only one mouthwash on the market has the concentration of chlorine dioxide necessary to kill the bacteria that are the root cause of bad breath.  The US Patent held by ProFresh International for its bad breath solution called ProFresh Oral Rinse, makes it the only chlorine dioxide mouthwash permitted, by law, to use active chlorine dioxide in the concentration scientifically-proven to stop bad breath.

Only ProFresh contains active chlorine dioxide at levels proven to stop bad breath. The U.S. Patent for ProFresh ensures this fact.

Other mouthwashes on the market present themselves as chlorine dioxide rinses when they – in fact – contain no chlorine dioxide at all.  TheraBreath, Oxyfresh, and CloSYS I for example contain stabilized chlorine dioxide.  This is tricky because the average person would assume that that means the product in fact contains chlorine dioxide.  If you are a scientist you know that stabilized chlorine dioxide actually contains no chlorine dioxide at all!  These “stabilized” chlorine dioxide mouth rinses contain sodium chlorite which is a salt used in the manufacture of chlorine dioxide. As a chemical precursor of chlorine dioxide, sodium chlorite is also sometimes called “stabilized chlorine dioxide” although, in fact, it contains no chlorine dioxide at all! This is very misleading.

Dr. Anthony Youn, a well-known plastic surgeon often seen on the Rachael Ray show, recently published an article on discussing bad breath and how to address it (  His recommendation was to use a chlorine dioxide rinse!  Chlorine dioxide is safe and very effective at neutralizing the volatile sulfur compounds on the back of the tongue that cause bad breath odor.

Only ProFresh contains active chlorine dioxide at levels proven to stop bad breath.  The U.S. Patent for ProFresh ensures this fact.

Cure Bad Breath with ProFresh

For many, good dental hygiene including brushing, flossing and tongue cleaning are enough to ensure fresh breath.  But for the 50 million American’s who suffer the embarrassment of halitosis, these methods simply don’t solve the problem.

Chronic bad breath is caused by a particular type of bacteria called volatile sulfur compounds (VSC’s) found on the soft tissues of the mouth – mainly on the back of the tongue. These bad breath bacteria live under the saliva and are responsible for producing the gases that cause bad breath odor. No amount of drugstore mouthwash or tooth brushing can eliminate these VSC’s.  Studies show that some people have substantially more of these bad breath bacteria than others, though researchers are not sure why.

ProFresh is 99% effective in eliminating chronic halitosis.  Clinical studies have proven that the active ingredient in ProFresh – chlorine dioxide – eliminates the VSC’s on the back of the tongue that are the root cause of bad breath.

Start Today! Commit to these 5 simple things…
  1.  Replace Your Toothbrush Every 2-3 Months

Most of us brush our teeth morning and night.  But did you know that it’s a good idea to replace your toothbrush every 2-3 months? The brush bristles become worn over time and can become less effective.  They can also damage the gums.

  1. Schedule Your Dental Check-Ups Now

We all do it…. We make a note to schedule our dental cleaning and then somehow, 3 weeks later it’s STILL on the “To Do” list!  Pick up the phone now and make your appointments for your dental check-ups for this year.  Regular visits to the dentist help keep your teeth sparkling and your gums healthy.  Having your teeth cleaned regularly reduces plaque which can build up and create tartar on your teeth.  Plaque also irritates the gums and can cause gum disease.  So even though having your teeth cleaned can be uncomfortable, committing yourself to check-ups can make a big difference for the health of your mouth.

  1. Floss Once a Day

Flossing is the best way to keep plaque at bay between dental visits.  But most of us don’t floss every day.  Why not?  Well it’s just not that interesting, a little yucky and uncomfortable.  Plus it takes time when we have better things to do like start our day or get to bed.  But as with any routine, the key is just to start.  Put your floss in plain view as a reminder.  Start with your upper teeth on Monday and then the lower teeth on Tuesday.  Once you get into practice, flossing the whole mouth will be a snap.  Plus the feeling of clean gums and the fresh breath that it fosters will be its own reward.

  1. Clean Your Tongue

Tongue cleaning can go a long way toward reducing bacteria in the mouth that contribute to plaque and cause bad breath.  Maybe you already brush your tongue?  But using a toothbrush to clean the tongue is like using a broom to clean a shag carpet.  The surface of the tongue is very rough; to get to the pesky bacteria that are lurking in the groves of your tongue the most effective tool is a tongue cleaner.  They are inexpensive and you can pick one up at the local pharmacy.  Tongue cleaning can take some getting used to, but once you do, it’s quick and easy!

  1. Ditch the Mouthwash and Switch to a Chlorine Dioxide Mouth Rinse

Most mouthwash masks breath odors for a short time but does little to improve your breath or the health of your mouth for the long term.  Why throw your money away on mouthwash that doesn’t really get the job done?  Switch to a chlorine dioxide mouth rinse and get some serious results.  For example, ProFresh ( is clinically proven 99.9% effective in killing the bacteria that cause bad breath.  It keeps your breath fresh for 24 hours. Plus, reducing the bacteria in the mouth will also reduce plaque build-up on your teeth leading to a much healthier mouth!

By committing yourself to these 5 simple things in 2014 you can significantly improve the health of your mouth.  Not only will you have healthier teeth and gums, but fresh breath and better general health.  Plus with a terrific smile and fresh breath, you can approach your professional and social interactions with confidence!

5 Tips for New ProFresh Users

If you are new to ProFresh, keep these helpful tips in mind to maximize your results with the ProFresh System.  You will find all of this information in your Quick Start Guide that came with your shipment of ProFresh.

1. Double Activate the First Bottle:

We recommend double activating the first bottle of ProFresh Rinse to quickly attack the built-up bacteria on your tongue that cause bad breath.  Please note that this double-strength solution may have a stronger taste than the single-strength solution you will use ongoing.

2. Soak Removable Dentures in ProFresh:

If you wear removable dentures, soak the denture(s) overnight in ProFresh Rinse the first night you start the ProFresh program.  Thereafter, soak them in ProFresh overnight once each month.  Clean dentures daily.  Rinse thoroughly with water.

3. Brush Your Teeth with Toothpaste AFTER Using ProFresh:

Do not use toothpaste or any other oral products just before using ProFresh (allow at least 1 hour). Doing so will decrease the effectiveness of ProFresh. We recommend you brush with toothpaste after using ProFresh. Using toothpaste is an important part of your daily oral health routine.

4. Give Yourself Time to Get Used to the Tongue Scraper:

If you have never used a tongue scraper before you may experience a gag reaction if you push the scraper too far back on the first try. Start by gently scraping from the middle of your tongue to the front. As you get used to that, move the scraper a little further back each day until you can reach the back of your tongue.

5. Restore Your Confidence in Your Breath:

Scientific studies have proven that people cannot tell by themselves if their breath smells fresh or not.  A trusted friend or relative can easily confirm that ProFresh is working.  Though awkward at first, this will help build confidence in your breath – giving you more ease in personal and public interactions.

If you follow these tips and use the ProFresh System twice daily, you will be on your way to fresh breath 24 hours a day!

Common Questions About ProFresh

Stob Bad Breath with ProFresh

Gail works in a dental office and had struggled with bad breath for a long time.  She had tried many products and found that nothing worked – until she ordered ProFresh:

“It seems like nothing short of a miracle… after trying soooo many products I was thoroughly convinced this embarrassing problem was stomach related.  I actually cannot tell you what prompted me to purchase yet another product….THANK GOD I DID.  A TRUE BLESSING AND MIRACLE. “  — Gail

Gail also had several questions about ProFresh, its safety and usage.  We are sharing her questions and our replies below.

Q:  Is ProFresh completely safe for long term use?

A:  Yes, ProFresh is completely safe for long term use. We have customers who have used ProFresh for over 15 years.  In addition, Kross-Link Laboratories and Hilltop Research have assessed the safety of ProFresh and determined that it is completely safe when used as directed. Instructions are to rinse with ProFresh and spit out.  Kross-Link Laboratories suggests that even if a ProFresh user ingested 10% of the recommended daily dose of ProFresh – which is very unlikely – they would still be well within safe limits of ingestion of the active compound chlorine dioxide.   Chlorine dioxide has long been used to purify drinking water supplies worldwide.

Q:  What happens if I swallow a little?  I love to use the little carry-around spray bottle of ProFresh, but when I am on the go it is not convenient to rinse and spit ProFresh out.  Is it safe to swallow?

A:  Yes ProFresh is safe to swallow when sprayed from the small bottle.  Ingesting this small amount is safe.

Q:  Does the effectiveness fade with time?  Please tell me I will not become “immune” to the active agent in ProFresh making the rinse less effective over time!

A:  ProFresh is effective for long-term use.  You will not become “immune” to its breath-freshening agent.

Q:  Your instructions recommend that new users add two “A” Activator and two “B” Activator packs to the first bottle.  This double strength bottled has worked great for me.  Will I always need those extra activators?

A: We recommend double activating the first bottle to quickly attack the built-up bacteria on your tongue that cause bad breath.  About 20% of our customers double activate all bottles for extra strength.  By having a loved one check your breath, you can determine if you need to continue with double activation.
